Agreement with Liverpool City Council to identify 4.8 Ha of new allotment land between June 2013 and June 2018
In November 2011 it was proposed by Liverpool City Council to raise allotment rents to £60/plot/year (£24 for concessions i.e. over 60's). After allotment holders made their feelings known, it was decided in early December 2011 to raise allotment rents instead to £40 (£20 for concessions) from January 1st 2012. City Council also had plans to invoice allotment holders directly, and that individual allotment associations would not continue to collect rents on behalf of City Council as in years previously.
After consultation with the A.L.A. City Council decided in late December 2011 that the increase in rents (to £40 for non concessions & £20 for concessions) would be payable from 1st Jan 2013, and that individual allotment associations would continue to collect rents on behalf of the City Council.
